Your right to opt out (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information. This page explains what that means for ilove.markets and how to exercise your rights.
What we do and don't sell
We do not sell your personal information for money or other valuable consideration.
The term "sale" under CCPA is broad and includes some forms of sharing personal information with third parties in exchange for something of value, even if no money changes hands. To be transparent:
- We use PostHog for analytics, but only when you explicitly opt in via our cookie consent banner. We do not share your analytics data with third parties for advertising.
- We do not display advertising on ilove.markets.
- We do not share your personal information with data brokers.
If you wish, you may still submit an opt-out request below as a precaution. Your request will not affect your ability to use the site.
How to exercise your rights
You have the following rights under the CCPA:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, share, or sell.
- Right to delete your personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.
Submit an opt-out request
To submit an opt-out request, please complete the form below. We will respond within 45 days.
Note: Submitting this form is the formal CCPA opt-out mechanism. If you simply want to opt out of analytics cookies, you can do so more quickly via "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
The CCPA opt-out form is not yet wired to a backend. Until then, please send your opt-out request by email to privacy@ilove.markets with the subject line "CCPA opt-out request" and we will process it within 45 days.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a CCPA request on your behalf. Per California Code of Regulations §999.326, the authorized agent must provide:
- Proof of their authorization to act on your behalf (a signed authorization letter or power of attorney)
- Their own identification
- Your identification (or proof of identity sufficient for us to verify that you authorized the agent)
We will respond to authorized agent requests within the same 45-day window.
